According to the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce:
"Lafayette took home the top honor for the "Best for Food" category in Rand McNally's "Best of the Road" competition. - Thursday, July 21, 2011"
Judges chose from over 600 different cities to find the winners in each of the 5 categories. Lafayette was chosen for the "Best for Food" award from a field that had been narrowed down to 6 different cities.
